Dortmund legend Ottmar Hitzfeld who won the 1997 Champions league with Dortmund and also the 2001 Champions league with Bayern Munich, becoming the only coach to win the Champions league with two clubs from same nation has attacked Pep Guardiola favoring country man and Jurgen Klopp, Dortmud’s second most successful coach
“He Guardiola wants to create an impression he has made teams great. If he did, they were already on path of greatness, he won more trophies cause unlike me, Klopp and Mourinho he can’t walk into a team with problems and make them a European champion. Klopp did so with Liverpool, I did so with Dortmund, Mourinho did so at Porto and Inter Milan. Everton now, is greater than Liverpool Klopp inherited, if you give Klopp Everton in 3 years he will make it a champion of Europe, if you give it to Guardiola, he will ask for more money” he said
“You can’t compare the trophies alone, Guardiola is the spoilt child who gets what he wants, Klopp is the child who has to work with limits and achieves bigger. Obviously a club without limits can’t take Guardiola. He can buy a player and say he doesn’t want him, next thing money is available for him to buy again. He was at Bayern Munich, what did he achieve? Which even Nico Kovac isn’t? Klopp at Liverpool has lost Coutinho and sold many players and his net spend is impressive compared to his achievements” he added
Ottmar Hitzfeld arrived at Dortmund in 1991 and led Dortmund to 7 years in which they won the league title 4 times, he went to Bayern and won 3 more league titles and another Champions league. Added to the DfB Pokals he won at Dortmund..He later became Switzerland coach, becoming first team to get knocked out of groups without conceding goal, and beating Spain 1-0 becoming only team to do so in 2010, and losing in extra time to Argentina in World Cup last 16 game in 2014 before retiring.

Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold Claims Guinness World Record
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s name is officially in the record books with the Liverpool right-back snaring a place in the 2020 Guinness World Records collection.
The 21-year-old contributed an incredible 12 assists for the Reds last season in the Premier League to set a record for the most provided by a defender in a single season.
To make the achievement even sweeter, Alexander-Arnold has replaced Everton duo Andy Hinchcliffe and Leighton Baines as the new record holder in the process.
While 2018-19 was a very impressive campaign individually for the Englishman, he was quick to pay tribute to his teammates, with Liverpool falling just one point short of the league title.
“It’s an honour. I’ve always wanted to go forward and help the team to create as many chances as possible,” Alexander-Arnold said via The Mirror .
“It’s obviously down to the lads to put the ball into the back of the net, because football is a team game and without them this record wouldn’t be possible.
“It’s an unbelievably proud moment for me and my family, and something I hope will stand for a few years.”
Alisson Ready for Injury Return Against Man Utd
Liverpool will have Alisson available for the visit to Manchester United on Sunday after their first-choice goalkeeper stepped up his recovery from injury during the international break.
The Premier League leaders have been without their influential keeper since the opening game of the season but, nine weeks after damaging a calf muscle against Norwich, the 27-year-old is expected to reclaim his place at Old Trafford.
Alisson has undergone an intensive and individually tailored training programme over the past week without repercussions. The Brazil international, named Uefa’s goalkeeper of 2018-19 during his injury lay-off, is fit to replace Adrián, who has proven an impressive deputy for Jürgen Klopp’s side and boasts a 100% record in the Premier League as a Liverpool player.
Mohamed Salah, who sustained an ankle injury against Leicester before the international break, is also expected to be fit for Sunday.
