Popular Nigerian comedian, I Go Dye has explained why he recently attacked former Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan over his senatorial ambition.

The comedian last week urged Uduaghan not to go to the senate because he failed his people when he was the governor of the state for 8 years.

He accused the former governor of failing to build any substantial legacy for Deltans

However, his criticism stirred reaction from fellow comedians who slammed him for criticizing Uduaghan, whereas having personal relationship with him.

But speaking to the Punch, I Go Dye said his attack on the former governor was not ‘”being influenced by any political interest or financial gain”.

I Go Dye maintained that he was speaking as a visionary who cares about the development of Nigeria.

“I am not speaking in the interest of APC or PDP. I am just a visionary, who cares for the development of Nigeria. There is no government that I have not spoken about . The truth cannot be bought or concealed, let no man be deceived. I have never collected money from any political party or politician.

”When I act in my professional capacity as a comedian at their events, I’m just paid my professional fees, it doesn’t mean I have been given a cheque or contract by anyone of them, that’s why I am bold enough to speak the ugly truth anytime. If they feel I have endorsed him before, I am no longer endorsing him. We cannot continue like this. If they care enough, they should find out why the pensioners are not paid, and why our state is not being developed.

”I have expressed this to him that he should be advocating for our sea ports reopening to create jobs for our people and I haven’t said anything different.

”We all are bold enough to speak the truth, however, every man has a right to die for his own hero. Today the x-ray is on him, tomorrow it might be Okowa’s turn.

”I’m not standing for anyone, let them all do the needful when the ball is in their court,” he said.

Orezi who faced severe backlash few days ago for allegedly burning the N1,000 note in a new photo, has denied burning the Nigerian currency.

Orezi who released the picture to promote his new music, Born Broke Die Rich, was slammed by social media users who felt it was disrespectful to Nigeria and the country’s legal tender. However Orezi who denied burning the Nigerian currency in a new interview with Saturday Beats, said it was an edited picture.

“I never burnt the N1,000 note like people thought, it was just graphics; an edited picture. I did not burn the Nigerian currency. If you look at the picture, you would see that the fire almost got to my eyes. If it were real, I would not have been able to withstand the heat. I cannot allow fire to burn my eyes because I want to take a picture. I replied some comments when people were criticising me because of the picture.

“I told them that it was an artistic paper and I did not burn the Nigerian currency. Why would I burn money to promote my music? A lot of my fans also tried to explain to those that were abusing me that it was an edited picture, but they would not listen. Some people went as far as saying that they would arrest me because it is against the law, but I did not burn the money. It is not everything that you can explain to people; sometimes you just have to keep quiet” he said.

It Will Be Hard For Me To Become A Billionaire – Daddy Freeze

Daddy Freeze has responded to critics who called him out that since he dosen’t pay tithes, his name should have been on the newly released Forbes list of Africa’s richest people.

‘My bio says bible teacher, not entrepreneur and definitely NOT BILLIONAIRE. If I’m a genuine teacher of the scriptures, it would be quite hard for me to become a billionaire’ he said.

Also, I have repeatedly emphasized to my followers and members of the #FreeNation, that I cannot help them if they want to be rich, check my teachings from way back, the only thing I promised them is to teach them the truth about Christ and the scriptures.

Have I ever let anyone down in that regard?

In the #FreeNationInChrist, when we pray, we don’t even pray for prosperity, wealth or earthly riches, we pray for wisdom, understanding and God’s guidance, so saying my name is not on the Forbes list is the equivalent of saying I wasn’t nominated for a Grammy.

On the other hand, your pastors promise heaven and earth for tithers and those who give them money. Oyedepo called himself an apostle of prosperity in the land; WHERE IS THE PROSPERITY?

We need to begin holding these men accountable for their words.
